This is the official blog of the Daycamp Resource Station. Visit us online at www.daycampresourcestation.com to learn what we’re all about.

Many of the games and initiatives contained herein are used in our staff trainings. Others I’ve found along the way either on a park or playground or at a training I attended.

This is meant to be a free resource for front-line staff everywhere. If you work with kids, or if you’re just young at heart, this site is for you. It contains games and initiatives for use in afterschool and daycamp settings.  Most of the games can be adapted to any age group. Initiatives are for older campers and staff for the purpose of developing leadership skills. I’ve also added commentary on things related to playgrounds such as conflict resolution.

Please use this blog freely. Add to it. Post a comment to tell us about your experience with some of the games. Share your favorite games with others. There are so many great games out there; we want to hear what games you know.
